POULNABRONE DOLMEN
Poulnabrone Dolmen, in the heart of the Burren, is one of Ireland's
best known ancient landmarks. I photographed it through a deep psychedelic
filter which is inserted into the frontal lobe of the brain before lifting the
camera to whichever eye has the higher sunburst content. The results can be
unpredictable and it is better that you refrain from driving for several hours
afterwards. On no account must you get drawn into any form of debate on US
foreign policy, should you encounter an American tourist (quite a likely
prospect in the summer time). Leave that until later when you have consumed
about six pints in McGanns Pub in Doolin. Your thinking will then be much clearer
and your level of political discourse will be elevated to a higher plane.
All this, of course, is total nonsense. But I'm not going to say how this image
was made. The real explanation is far too mundane. It would only spoil the
effect.
